Sushi plates on a conveyor in a restaurant in Japan

While I enjoy sushi, my dislike of shellfish and cephalopods does limit my choice somewhat. That said, I can invariably find something on the menu.

Top tip: get close to the start of the conveyor. This is where you’ll get the most choice.

Can’t manage that? Make full use of the overhead ordering screens.

Either way, enjoy the anticipation of what comes next on the conveyor.

Born in the UK in the early 70s, I’ve enjoyed a diverse and eclectic career. I spent time in IBM, survived the dot.com bust, got myself well known in Insurance, and lived through more digital transformation projects than is healthy. In late ’20, in the middle of a pandemic, I upped sticks and moved to Kobe, Japan with my wife.
