Angels watch over me at the end of the world

This was one of my earliest experiments in photo montage. It was done in the mid-2000s using Photoshop Elements, a cutdown version of Photoshop. I used a photograph from a local cemetery, cut out the angel and put a more compelling skyline behind it. What came after is an explosion of colour.

It’s not great by any stretch of the imagination, but it was an interesting exercise. I thought about revisiting it, but sometimes it’s worth keeping the original as a reminder of how far you’ve come.
